From 31 May- 2 June, participants from various primary schools across the nation took part in the SunburST Make-A-Thon@SST 2017.
Supported by Singapore Technologies Endowment Programme (STEP), the STEAM-centric competition serves as a platform for the brightest young minds in the country to meet and showcase their innovative spirit and entrepreneurial mindset to transform ideas into feasible tangible products.
Through learning journeys and training sessions from organisations like 3D-Printing-Hub.Asia, Greenpac Singapore Pte Ltd, Home-Fix Singapore, SaberMach, PestBusters Singapore, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Junior Achievement Singapore, the budding passionate innovators applied the design-thinking framework in their ideation and prototypes. They pitched their ideas in teams consisting of a leader, designer, maker, coder and marketer.
The winners of the competition are:
Team Nanyang Primary School (A): 1st Prize and Best Marketer Award
Team Kong Hwa School: 2nd Prize and Most Innovative Award
Team Nanyang Primary School (B): 3rd Prize

2017年旭日创客马拉松活动
从5月31日至6月2日,约19所小学参加了新加坡科技中学主办的2017年旭日创客马拉松活动(Sunburst Make-A-Thon@SST)。由新加坡科技捐助计划(简称 STEP)支持,以科学,技术,工程,艺术和数学(STEAM)为中心,此活动吸引最聪明的青少年交流并参与竞争,展示他们的创新和企业家精神。除了培训课程,参与者也通过学习之旅,如3D打印中心.亚洲、Greenpac新加坡私人有限公司、新加坡家具用品商店(Home-Fix)、SaberMach、新加坡PestBusters、义安理工学院以及新加坡青年成就组织(Junior Achievement Singapore)。 这些具有热忱的创新者在他们的想法和原型中应用了设计思维框架,并将团队的理念投入到由领导,设计师,制造者,编码和营销人员组成的团队中,最终将点子成功转化为有形的产品。
